NOTE: FOR MY FORMER/EXISTING CLIENTS FOR WHOM I AM APPOINTED AS AN EXECUTOR AND/OR TRUSTEE
You may have recently received communications on behalf of my former firm Cartmell & Co (now Beaujeux, Wilde & King) informing you that I have now left that firm and I confirm yes that is correct and that I have left to establish a consultant firm to concentrate primarily on my Private Client specialist work. That work includes:
- My Trustee and Executor work,
- Wills & Trusts,
- Lasting Powers of Attorney,
- Estate Planning and advice,
- Estate and Trust administration
- Helping people set up Shareholders and Partnership Agreements to protect business interests
Continuing as an executor and/or trustee for you
Unless you specifically hear from me to the contrary, I am happy to continue to act in my executorship/trustee capacity for you. I hope likewise that you will continue to wish for me to act in the roles to which I am appointed but if you have any specific questions or queries, please let me know and we can discuss. In the meantime, there is nothing specifically required from you in terms of changing existing documentation based on my own change, which will remain valid and my appointment is my personal commitment to you as a trust and estate professional. Until any such documents are specifically transferred, they remain safely stored at their current location.
My contact details
My firm’s details are set out on this, my website. I remain living locally in the Chilterns and most of my meetings with my former/existing local Chilterns clients are held at their homes rather than at my London office. If you are reading this and are Chilterns-based clients, it would be best and probably most convenient for you if I pop over to see you sometime at your home but you are of course welcome to visit me at my London office.
The need for a review
For many of you, the inclusion of Will-trusts will have been a key element to the advice and work which I have undertaken for you. My appointment as executor and trustee is often most relevant in guidance and assistance in administration of Will-trusts. As it is likely to be some time since those documents were drawn up, you may wish to have a refresher on the advice, and as to the reasons for the structures and protections afforded by Will-trusts. Let me say in summary that it is likely that no further changes are required as such and that the advice given previously would still be the most course of action at this time, it may still be worthwhile for you in having a review with me and to refresh your memories. In the meantime, I will shortly be posting some YouTube video guidance, which you may wish to check out in the coming weeks.
Meeting Up
I would very much like to have a personal catch up/meeting and to review matters and suggest you give me a ring on 07970 166804 or via my office number. Alternatively, send me an email to rob@robertcartmell.co.uk and I will come back to you to suggest a suitable time to meet up or speak.
As I hope you may understand, my diary is becoming rather full with enquiries and it is anyway a busy time of the year for us. I have had to prioritise dealing with urgent requests for advice and work and attending to those who are seeking out my guidance and assistance. However, I promise I will be allocating time to contact as many of you who have not contacted me already and to do so as soon as I possibly can in the next couple of months.
If you have any particularly urgency in seeking specific help and advice, I would suggest you contact me as soon as possible so we can allocate time to discuss matters. Otherwise, I shall get in contact with you individually in due course and as soon as I possibly can do so, whether by email or phone and to arrange to have an initial catch up review over a tea or coffee.
Thank you very much for your patience and I look forward to seeing you or speaking with you in the not too distant future.
With my best wishes.
Rob
